Denise Moorhouse

Denise brings over 30 years of experience as a family law paralegal and currently serves as the Firm Manager at our firm. She earned a degree in Business Administration before graduating with honors from the Philadelphia Institute of Paralegal Training. Throughout her career, Denise has worked closely with clients, guiding them with patience and compassion from the start of their case through to resolution. Her decades of focused work in family law helped her develop a deep understanding and refined skill set, ultimately earning her the dual roles of senior paralegal and firm manager.

Denise previously served as a board member of the South Jersey Paralegal Association (SJPA), an organization committed to advancing educational standards and best practices within the paralegal profession. During her tenure, she promoted the profession through networking, continuing legal education seminars, mentoring students, and engaging in public outreach. Through SJPA, Denise was awarded the designation of New Jersey Certified Paralegal, having exceeded the standard qualifications for the role. While no longer actively serving with the association, she continues to bring this leadership experience and high professional standards to her current position.

For multiple years, Denise also volunteered as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA), where she represented the best interests of abused and neglected children in the foster care system. Her work involved direct courtroom participation in dependency cases, ensuring that the voices of vulnerable children were heard by the court. She completed extensive training in medical and educational advocacy, trauma-informed care, and cultural competency, and she is certified as an adolescent mental health first aider. Although she no longer serves in this capacity, Denise stepped away from CASA to focus fully on the demands of her leadership roles. The experience she gained continues to strengthen her advocacy skills and compassionate approach to family law.

Outside of work, Denise enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, exploring the outdoors, and refinishing furniture—activities that reflect her creativity and commitment to balance in her life.
